When you try to lose weight by starving , during that time,you lose muscle, not fat, and then you come roaring back on a binge, which makes you fatter. You get fatter since you now have more calories and less muscle to burn off the added calories.
So you should never Starve for weight loss instead eat more, not less. Exercise a lot.
